First you want to sand with 220….Dont be lazy sand it and get all the corners
After you do that wipe it down with Lacquer Thiner or equivalent. Be careful with this stuff it wont eat your paint but allot of plastics especially clear plastics dont like this stuff. Dont touch it after its wiped
Then take sheets of paper and slide them behind the H
Dont touch the H
Spray light coats I used a wrought iron black as it matches the grayish plastic better than flat black.
Note: Towel on hood and extra paper on bumper to prevent overspray
Let it dry… Flat black drys fast as does the paint I used but give it at least ten minutes.
Remove paper carefully
I plan on doing the rear emblem as well but Ill be using gloss black to match the plastic/paint.
This took about 20 minutes mostly sanding…
