I have had the stupid SRS light for about a year now and I was so sick of seeing it, I tried doing the paper clip reset and it worked for about 2 days and it was back on again. I kept trying to reset it and it just kept turning back on, I now have the solution

This is a very easy procedure and should only take about 30-40 min. give or take.
tools needed:
Screw drivers, Philips head and flat head
Scissors
black electrical tape
and a flash light
Step 1: remove plastic cover on bottom of dashboard just turn the 2 clips to the left and remove upward

Step 2: there are 2 screws holding the cluster in place remobe them very carefully you don’t want to drop them somewhere in the dashboard

Step 3: Push the cluster forward with the screwdriver where the holes are for the screws and you will have a gap forming where the cluster sits then just pry the cluster with your fingers and pull outward. The hardest part about the procedure is getting the cluster out.

Step 4: once you get the cluster out there are 2 plugs in the back just squeze the top of the clips and pull, once both plugs are off slide the cluster out to the left or right side of the steering wheel whichever you find easier.

step 5: pull the trip set/reset thing outwards away from the cluster face it should just pop out easily.

step 6: there are 2 screws on the top of the cluster remove them and dont lose

Step 7: now you must use the flat head screwdriver and pry the plastic clips so that you can pull the black cover away from the guages clip by clip.

Step 8: as you can see now there is a paper cover that has all the signs on it you can pull this part away from the cluster but dont pull it off enteirly just enough to see the SRS lighting area.

Step 9: now your going to get your tape and scissors cut the tape so it has a nice end on both sides. now you are going to use the front of the cluster to figure out the exact size you need to cut and shape to only cover the SRS transparent area

just keep cutting till you cover the SRS and nothing else, Dont worry you are going to put the tape on the inside of the paper cover and not over it that would look very tacky and cheap.

Step 10: When you cut the tape to the right size use your scissors to place the tape on the inside of the paper this way you will not crease or bend your guage plastic thingy. just place the corner of the tape on the tip of the scissor blade and put in place then just use the tip to push the tape and ensure that it is securly onto the plastic.

Step 11: use your flashlight to shine through the back of the plastic and see if you have successfully covered the SRS transparency.

Step 12: now all you need to do is place the plastic front back onto the guages and snap back in place, put the 2 screws you removed back on top of the cluster, put your Trip set/reset stick back in place just give it a push till you feel it securly back in place, put the cluster back in your vehicle, plug the 2 connecters back into your cluster, and place the 2 screws back that hold your entire cluster in place. Preety much just do steps 6-1 in reverse and your done. Oh when you plug your cluster back in your needles will go up and then back down so dont be alarmed i guess they do it to reset themselves
